- First, give before you take. Refer job leads and opportunities you find. Giving to the community will help that community learn to trust you and will, in return, refer openings back to you.
- Second, be patient and active. Building trust takes time. It won’t happen overnight, but once you make strong connections, they will dramatically shorten the time of your next job search. Get involved in discussion groups.
